Business Projects

New Office Setup: Purchasing + Configuration +  Training
We assisted a brand new business in outfitting their office space for both current needs and future growth. Some project tasks included:
  • Purchase & installation, setup new computers & software
  • Repaired damaged phone wiring & running new lines with multi-line support
  • Set up wired & wireless network to share information, printers, & scanners
  • Configured each workstation's phone,  intercom, and  voicemail
  • Setup business email accounts 
  • Configured individual workstations and mobile devices

  • Provided hands on training for business owner
Office Relocation & Ongoing Tech Support
An existing client who operates a home health care agency was relocating to accommodate the growth of their agency.  Once they secured their new facility we were called on to help with the office migration and expansion:
  • Audited existing phone & data wiring to see what could be reused and what additional lines would be needed
  • Assisted with selection and implementation of new phone & internet services consisting of 4 voice lines & 1 fax
  • Setup wired / wireless network to enable computers to share information & printers
  • Reinstalled existing computers at new site
  • Purchased  & setup of additional computers, printers, 4-line capable phones
  • Sourced and installed intrusion/fire alarm system with remote monitoring & alerts for business owners.  

We also provide ongoing tech support and training to support their business and staff growth. Recent support projects:
  • Setup Office 365 for Business to affordably manage software cost with multiple computers 
  • Upgrades of computers to Windows 10
  • Utilized SharePoint for document sharing, collaboration, and training.
  • Switched phone & Internet company to save money and provide faster Internet access and improved phone features. (Voicemails were also sent by email to key staff & phone calls routed differently based on office hours.) 
  • Upgraded in-office network speeds.
  • Implemented computer backups to hard drive on network.
  • Reorganized, labeled, and document communication & network equipment area. 
Remote Office Worker:  Setup & Installation

A residential client asked for our help setting up equipment their job sent them to start working from home.  Space, stable Internet access, & occasional brief loss of power in their area were all issues that needed to be addressed.
  • We assisted with planning the layout before installation.  The client purchased tables that provided plenty of workspace for equipment and papers.
  • We supplemented the company equipment with space-saving 2-monitor brackets that clamp to the back of the table as well as a power strip that clamps to the side.  We organized most of the cables in tubing to reduce some of the clutter.
  • We purchased a battery backup system for their Internet equipment that keeps Internet and Wi-Fi running for up to 2 hours if power goes out.  (We will add an additional battery backup for the company laptop & monitors in the near future)   
After physically installing the computer, monitors, and voice over Internet (VoIP) phone, we worked together with the company IT department to configure and test remote access.  The client is now able to work from their home office just as if they were at the job site.

Special Projects

Tech Upgrade:  AV Integration + Group Wi-Fi + Training
On this project we helped a non-profit group to add multi-media capability to their building. The building is also used by more than one language group so one room needed the ability to support language classes. Project included:
  • Layout planning
  • Arranged purchase & delivery of equipment
  • Installed cabling, network wiring, wireless network equipment, high-speed internet, HDMI signal splitters, TV's, projector, and space saving computer to show video & training websites.
  • Configured computers and printers to work across the network.
  • Developed training material & training sessions for the people who would be using the equipment.

Private Consumer Projects

Tablet Upgrade: Purchasing + Configuration + Training
This client wanted to replace an older iPad within a specific budget. We found an excellent price on an iPad mini, and bundled it with a rotating case, 2 stylus (all in their favorite color). Total savings off normal retail prices was about $80. We configured their device, synchronized Apple® accounts, and ran backups of their device to both the cloud and their PC. They were given a binder with templates to keep track of information that people tend to forget easily.
Technology Novice:  Purchase + Setup + Training
We were approached by someone who was unfamiliar with technology for help purchasing a tablet and learning how to use it. We helped them find the right tablet to fit their needs and budget, including matching accessories, and a renewable warranty with accidental damage protection. We developed printed and an in-person training program using pictures and screenshots from their actual device. They also attended some of our group training sessions to continue growing their technical expertise.
